The hats are amazing I'm on my third one now and love them. The only thing that I don't like is that the shield is really light and it's always blowing on top of my hat and I have to keep adjusting it. I wish you'd put a leader wire or a light plastic tubing in the seam of the shield to give it a little weight to keep it in place. I'm in a ridiculously hot climate and need it. That's the only reason I gave 3 stars... they're super tough and will buy another when this one dies.

I bought this for a Firebird 2. The attachment system for that hat doesn't work for me. I doubt I'll ever use this. I was operating with the thought that all the hats would allow for all three attachment methods. This wasn't the case.
Functions as designed!
Light weight, just the right size. Doesnt get in the way. You hardly know its there. You have to keep the chin strap on but you can tuck that to the back. I have a hat just for being in the yard and it works great.
USPS destroyed my package but Shelta hats made it right. Awesome company and will do business with again. Neck flap works well.
I bought this even though my hat has only two holes in the brim. Works just fine. I bought the bright orange to match my hat. Lightweight and provides great coverage.
This is my second Shelta hat & first with neck shield. I really like both. I have a lot of skin damage from years in the sun & this is the protection I need. Highly recommend.
Loved the first one so I bought a second Narrow brim.
Fit is good, with short hair. If you have longer hair increase one size. Holds shape vary well.

I mainly bought this for when I mow, recently I was the victim of the sun, with a cancerous spot that had to be surgically removed from my upper jaw area….sun damage is real. Protect yourself.
I have had hats & caps with neck shields before, but they were always problematic. They were sewn on, which meant they were lying on your neck, wet and dirty or they were held on with elastic bands or velcro which meant after a hard breeze or large splash they went their own way. The toggle fastening system means quick attachment in 2 positions (under the brim or over the brim) and a much move secure sun shield.
It’s an effective, low tech improvement on the sun protection that the hat offers. Clever

This is a great add-on to the hat. Unlike the bill, it blows around in windy conditions which is to be expected. It stays attached even when I wore it playing in the waves at the beach. Great coverage for the ears and neck. I like that it’s detachable and can used when needed. I’d recommend it.

I love the hat but hate the neck shield. It’s kind of a pain to put on and the material is loud and doesn’t offer much sun protection. Should have saved my money and just tied a bandanna on the hat. I own another brand of hat that the neck shield stores in the brim of the hat and works awesome. Maybe you guys can do that to a future model.
I'm on a tropical island and using my hat even when playing on the waves and no burn! Great hat!
