The Firebird hat has a great front brim that stays rigid. And, it floats which is the best.
I was hesitant paying $80 for a hat. Finally pulled the trigger after getting my cheap sunhat wet, collapsing in my face. This hat is great for all outdoor activities. Performs well on the boat at speed. This video says it all. I was laughing watching my buddy struggle with his standard sunhat!
Great hats
I've been using Shelta hats for some years now and they are my go to hat to protect my head. This new hat is my favorite that I use while fishing, hiking, and geocaching.
This is my second purchase from Shelta and their quality is awesome as always. There is one issue in the sizing department. I bought a small/medium for my wife which is the smallest size they offer and she has to pull the adjustment cord so tight that it distorts the brim in the back. So if you are looking for a possible extra small fitment for the ladies this is not an option as far as I can tell. This is the reason for the four stars.
