The Condor Performance Sun Hat was designed based on feedback from our Shelta family, who desired a style that could provide both sun protection and comfort in hot conditions. This version features a deeper crown for air flow and a wider, downward angled brim for increased UV protection. A full vapor barrier liner prevents the fabric from touching your scalp, while allowing air flow through the laser cut venting holes and breathable material. Unlike the previous model, the new Condor does not have a stash pocket, making it even lighter. However, it still maintains its amphibious nature with the No Sag headband, No Flop brim technology, and the ability to float on water, making it perfect for activities such as boating, gardening, or strolling on the beach.

A quality hat that actually fits

I have a massive melon for a head. I have a hard time finding harts when I buzz cut my hair and since I grew out my (albeit thinning) hair, that's just making it more difficult.

I ordered the largest size they have (XXXL). It ACTUALLY fits. I had to loosen the size cinch as much as possible but it ACTUALLY FITS.

It's comfortable, airy, stays on my head when using the strap in the military style, isn't hot (see: airy), very light with little movement, and you can actually wash it!

I'd buy this again if I needed another colour.

Awesome Hat

I've had some skin cancer issues and I have wore ballcaps all my life. I love the hat it covers my ears and neck from the sun. Crossing my fingers for no more surgeries. I also love the brim while on the golf course and on the boat. Let's Go!

Decent hat, needed something for outdoor use when working or not working.

I docked it points for being really pricey.
I can't verify that its actually hydrophobic or not because I sweat so much while wearing it when working, even in a rain storm it's tough to tell where the moisture came from originally (my brow or the rain).

It did keep rain out of my eyes so thats a plus.
It did keep the sun mostly off of my face (I think?), and definitely out of my eyes. The benefits of the wide brim aren't for what I needed it to be if I need to wear PPE. It's not as effective when wearing PPE (safety glasses or sunglasses), those pushed the brim of the hat further up, removing the shade advantage of the wider brim. That is an important detail for this fair skinned person when working outdoors in hot sunny conditions.
It has so far under casual use lived up to its no flop motto, the brim has kept its shape despite many dirty sweat soaked days and a few very unpleasant rainy ones. I am considering some of their other gear too, if your not easily offended by being unfashionable when protection from the elements is really important, you should too.
If you've been through military service, you get used to be handed stuff that looks awful but should offer decent protection even though its appearance is rough looking compared to what you would normally wear. Protect your face, you only get one.
