Using Credit Card Gift Cards
We gladly expect Credit Card Gift cards for payment. However, our payment platform (Shopify) does not allow split payments.
If you have multiple Credit Card gift cards in small denominations you can buy multiple Shelta Store Gift cards and then use those to purchase your item.
The platform does allow for multiple store gift cards to be used. We hope to be able to except multiple payments in the future.
To use a Visa gift card on Shetla Shopfy Store, treat it just like a regular credit card at checkout. Enter the 16-digit card number, the expiration date, and the CVV found on the back. For the name on the card, use "Gift Card" or your own name.
For a smooth transaction, follow these steps:
- Register the Card: Many Visa gift cards require online registration before use. Visit the website listed on the back of your card (e.g., Vanilla Gift) to assign your billing address to the card.
- Verify Your Balance: Ensure the gift card has enough funds to cover the entire order total, including tax and shipping.
- Enter at Checkout: On the Shopify store's payment page, choose Credit Card as your payment method and enter the Visa gift card details.
Troubleshooting Tips:
If your card is declined, it is likely because the store's payment processor does not support splitting payments between a prepaid card and another method. If your total exceeds your Visa gift card balance, the transaction will fail. You must ensure the card balance is equal to or higher than the total cost of your cart
